~  Land: The whole district covers a total area of 1220 square kilometers, of which the area of plains accounts for 61.48%. It has a land of 0.1226 million hectare, including 45.3 thousand hectare farmland, accounting for 36.96%; 38 thousand hectare forest land, accounting for 30.98%; and 12.5 thousand hectare waters surface, accounting for 10.2%.
~  Population: The district has 14 towns, 1 village and 4 neighborhoods around its territory with a population of 800 thousand.
~  Rivers: Mainly including the Dongtiao River, the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal and the Shangtang River, with the fountainhead of the Grand Canal lying in Yuhang Town within the district. The district has a navigation course of 383 kilometers, with water resources available all the year round reaching 1.33 billion cubic meters.
~  Roads: Our district boasts a highway of 830.39 km, including 26.73 km expressway, 70.18km national road, with a pavement ratio for road- surface of high-grade and secondary highways reaching over 70%.
